Not being in charge

It's not often that I get to go to a special event for work that I'm not in charge of. And on the rare occasion that that does happen, I at least have a specific job I have to accomplish. But not today. Today we hosted a triathlon at the Center. I wasn't in charge. I didn't even have an assignment (except to be back up if someone ended up needing help). I just got to go and supervise. I'm thankful for that experience this morning. I'm thankful for all the hard work my team put into the event. And I'm thankful that the event was a success, even with a few hiccups.
